Drawings and Paintings expo.
Roger Cummiskey views his drawing/painting of Leopold Bloom at the James Joyce Tower Museum in Sandycove, Co Dublin. The paining is based on the only drawing ever recorded as having been done by Joyce in Myron Nutting’s studio in Paris in the 1920s. The original done on a napkin is at the University of NY at Buffalo.
Free entrance. Please contact me 087 222 5241.
There are six other paintings in the tower in this series but all six painters are now deceased. I presented this painting to the Museum via the Curator Robert Nicholson following an exhibition at Airfield House Gallery.
