My contribution to the Marathon Foto Day.
On May 25th there will be more cameras around the city of Malaga than usual as SUR sends out some 400 amateur photographers to capture Malaga from a new perspective.
During the day participants in the sixth photography marathon will be required to complete a series of challenges within a limited period of time. The photographers, promised a day full of surprises, need provide no more than their cameras, and a good dose of inspiration.
The event begins at 10am when organisers will reveal the subjects, situations or scenes participants must capture on camera. The photographs do not have to be taken in any particular order unless an event at a certain time is specified.
Mobile telephone numbers will be provided in case participants have questions or problems during the marathon.
One photograph must be submitted in each category by 7pm on Thursday May 30th. Judges will then select the best photos in each section and the overall winner, who will receive the first prize of a cruise for two people.
Places on the marathon are limited and participants must register online at http://maratonom.diariosur.es/inscripcion/inscripcion-online.php . The fee is five euros.
Participants must then take a print-out of the confirmation and their identification to the starting point outside the Larios shopping centre (Avda de la Aurora entrance) at 10am on Saturday May 25th.
